Layover and loneliness

So here I am, sitting on the floor in the Phoenix airport.  There are certainly pros and cons to our hyper connected digital age.  But usually I'm very happy to be in touch with all my friends and family wherever I go.  As I announced on fb recently, I just broke up with my gf of several years.  Painful, of course. 

But the biggest worry about breaking up with someone us being alone, and lonely.  No one to talk to about your day when you get home.  No one to ask about their day, discuss dinner plans, or talk about what movie to go see next.

But being so ubiquitously connected to everyone every day takes most of the sting out of that.  I Don't feel lonely.  How can I?  You're all right here.
